JOB DESCRIPTION
Junior designers are key members of the design team at trs. You will work with creative directors and team members of varying disciplines to develop and execute design solutions.
You should enjoy and excel at all phases of the creative process, from brainstorming through execution, all within multi-discipline teams. You will need to work methodically and creatively at the same time; trs designers create big ideas and consider the smallest details. You can interpret creative direction, ask appropriate questions, and deliver more than what is expected. You have an appetite for learning and a can-do attitude. You are confident and can persuasively present your ideas but leave your ego at home. You love to sketch and your computer is a tool to complete your ideas rather than generate them.
The greatest importance will be placed on your level of curiosity and awareness of the retail world around you. trs designers recognize innovation and look to a variety of sources, both within their discipline and outside it, for inspiration. You should be able to share your observations with colleagues and apply them to your project work with confidence and authority.
Your daily tasks will include all aspects of the creative process, from initial brainstorming through execution as well as acting as a support for other team members; as with any junior positions, routine tasks such as scanning, mounting, and presentation-making will occur.
JUNIOR DESIGNER SKILLS
• Ability to apply skill set and experience to a broad spectrum of assignments
• Desire to be part of a team and contribute and participate in all phases of the design process, thoughtful and detail-oriented in your work and communications
• Fluent Chinese / English
• Ability to maintain a positive attitude while working effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Desire and capacity to develop presentation skills
• Desire and capacity to represent the company with character, ethics, enthusiasm, and professionalism in all internal, client and industry settings
• Proficiency in computer programs; these may include: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, AutoCAD, and Acrobat with an understanding of the creation and principles of PDFs;
